Gary Neil Harter

Gary Harter of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the home he built in Lubbock, Texas, at the age of 60.  He was born April 29, 1954 in Petaluma, California to George and Dorothy (Stone) Harter. His career was as a teacher and coach in the Slaton ISD, Andrews ISD, and Lewisville ISD. Gary married Barbara Sudduth on May 23, 2005 in Lewisville, Texas.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; parents; daughters, Kristin Zoerner and husband, Steve of Austin and Meghan Carroll and husband, Max of Harker Heights; step-son, Derek Sudduth and wife, Sarah of Lubbock; brothers, Lance Harter and wife, Kim of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Larry Harter and wife, June of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Glenn Harter and wife, Sue of Redbud, California; grandson, Aston Zoerner; and granddaughter, Madelyn Sudduth.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
