Gaylon Moore

March 17, 1940 — November 8, 2021

Wallace Gaylon "Tex" Moore, 81, of Lubbock passed away Monday, November 8, 2021. He was born on March 17, 1940, in Ben Franklin, Texas to Murel Wallace Moore and Dell Bernice Gentry. Gaylon attended Lubbock High School, and shortly after that entered the United States Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Gaylon went on to become a car salesman and a truck driver until he retired.

Gaylon is survived by his children, Gail McCluskey and her husband Bob of Lubbock, and Marydale Moore-Taylor and her husband Cory of Lee's Summit, Missouri; siblings, Royce Moore and wife Judy and Dean Pevey, both of Lubbock; and three grandchildren, Roger McCluskey and his wife Samantha, Clinton McCluskey, and Joel McCluskey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sue Jander.

A memorial service will be held in March of 2022 and will take place in Lubbock, TX. Please continue to check back for an update on the scheduled day and time.
