Georgette Grace Odell Latham

Georgette Grace Odell Latham, 70, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013.  She was born February 17, 1943 in Queens, New York to George and Grace (Mills) Ritter.  She married Billy Wayne Latham on April 8, 1983 in Lubbock after the passing of her first husband Bill Odell.  Georgette worked as a surgical nurse at Health Sciences Center and for Dr. Susie Beck.  She loved crocheting, knitting afghans, crafting, baking with her grandkids, and loved decorating for the holidays. She was a member of Word Aflame United Pentecostal Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Latham; sons Wayne Odell of Lubbock, Brian Odell and Mark Odell of Surprise, AZ., and stepsons Berry Latham of Atoka, OK, and Michael Latham of Ft. Worth, TX; stepdaughter, Tammie Ortiz of Tushka, OK; five grandchildren, thirteen step grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Word Aflame United Pentecostal Church with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
