Glenn Wilson Timmons, 71, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was born July 8, 1953, to T.L. and Margaret (Wilson) Timmons, in Lubbock, TX.
After graduating from college, Glenn worked for 12 years in the family irrigation supply business, Stateline Irrigation, in Levelland and Littlefield. He later transitioned to a career as a laboratory technician at Methodist Hospital (now Covenant Hospital) and was a key member of the founding laboratory team at Lubbock Heart Hospital. Glenn worked at the Heart Hospital for 10 years before retiring. He thoroughly enjoyed attending the Agape Class and worship services at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church.
A lifelong music enthusiast, Glenn spent countless hours collecting, cataloging, and enjoying his extensive music collection. He found great joy in sharing his favorite music, particularly "Greatest Hits" compilations, with others. Glenn also had a passion for working with computers and capturing the beauty of nature through photography.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, TL and Margaret Timmons. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sharon Wallace Timmons; sons Nathan (wife Sarah) and David, all of Lubbock; grandchildren Adam and Elizabeth (Ellie) of Lubbock; sister Linda Fisher (husband Charles) of Lubbock; and brother Curtis (wife Mary) of Lorena, TX.
In honor of Glenn's memory, the family requests that memorials be made to the South Plains Food Bank, Lubbock Meals on Wheels, or the Lubbock chapter of The Salvation Army. Due to family allergies, please, no flowers.
The family, of Glenn Timmons, will honor and celebrate his life with a memorial service at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, 2210 Broadway St., Lubbock, with Pastor Kerry Drake officiating.
