George died on February 20, 2022. Mr. Richarte was born in Jonah, TX, on May 9, 1928, to Cruz and Matilde Richarte. He was married to Enedina (Dominguez) Richarte on May 26, 1956, in Lubbock, TX. He worked and retired from Ben E. Keith Company, after 43 years.
He loved to bowl, go to the lake/fishing and go to the casino.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Richarte of Irving and Rosemary Richarte-Gonzales (Rico) of Austin, two sons, Pete Richarte (Diana) of Lubbock and Cruz Richarte (Valerie) of Lubbock; 8 grandchildren, Erika Florez (Ricky), Tabitha Ortiz (Marcos), Erica De La Rosa (Mario) and Cristy Garcia (Chris) of Lubbock, Anissa Perez (Romeo) and Alexandria Gonzales of Austin and Adrian Richarte-Alvarez of Irving, Miguel Olivarez (Anisia) of Lubbock; 5 great-grandsons of Lubbock and Austin, 4 great-granddaughters of Lubbock and Austin; one brother, Emilio Richarte (Jovita) of Georgetown; several sisters-in-laws, and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Enedina Dominguez Richarte, his infant son, Julian Richarte, his parents and several brothers and 2 sisters.
A time of visitation for George, and family receiving friends, will be from 2 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 PM that evening. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Friday, February 25, 2022, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 102 N. Avenue P. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Mora, Sam Chavez, Miguel Olivarez, Adrian Richarte-Alvarez, Avery De La Rosa and Evan Munoz. Honorary pallbearers will be Zayden De La Rosa and Bubba Olivarez.
