Guadalupe "Botellitas" Banda

Guadalupe “Botellitas” Banda of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the age of 67.  He was born December 8, 1947 in Zacatecas, Mexico.  He married Lucy Gonzalez and they made their home in Lubbock where they attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lucy; children, Lionel Banda of Lubbock, Jessica Ayala and husband Joel of Littlefield, and Cristina Banda-Rodriguez and husband Xavier of Lubbock; mother, Francisca Banda of Zacatecas, Mexico; seven brothers; five sisters; and 16 grandchildren.

Botellitas was preceded in death by his father, Frederico Banda and one brother.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
