Guadalupe Alonzo Garcia

December 12, 1947 — March 1, 2025

Lubbock

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Alonzo Garcia, who departed from this world surrounded by the love of her cherished family on March 1, 2025.

Born on December 12, 1947, in Lubbock to Dario and Anita Enriquez Alonzo, Guadalupe radiated warmth and an undeniable spirit of love throughout her life. On February 15, 1969, she united in marriage with her beloved Pete Garcia, embarking on a journey filled with beautiful memories and shared experiences. Guadalupe devoted her professional life to serving as a housekeeping supervisor, exemplifying diligence and dedication in her work.

An active member of the Guadalupanas community, she poured her heart into every endeavor, finding joy in the company of her family and friends. Known for her youthful spirit and boundless affection, Guadalupe was a true testament to vibrant character and nurturing nature.

As we celebrate her remarkable life, we honor the memories of those who welcomed her into the heavens: her beloved daughter, Priscilla Garcia; her father, Dario Alonzo; her mother, Anita Enriquez Alonzo; her sister, Gloria DeLeon; and her sister, Theresa Alonzo.

Guadalupe leaves behind her devoted husband, Pete Garcia Jr.; her son, Pete Garcia II, and fiancée Venessa; her granddaughters Priscilla Perez (and her spouse Ruben Perez), and Savannah Gardea; her grandsons Pete Elias Garcia, Jonathan Garcia, and X'zaihver Garcia; as well as her great-grandson, Noah Gardea. Additionally, she is survived by five loving sisters and two cherished brothers.

May the memory of Guadalupe forever illuminate the hearts of those she touched, reminding us all of the profound impact she made through her love and kindness.
