Homer Floyd Morse of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the age of 76. He was born January 9, 1937 in Floydada to Thomas and Dora (Tabor) Morse. He married Claudette Hogan on August 20, 1960 in Tahoka. Homer was active in the automotive industry and was a member of Raintree Christian Church.
Homer was such a positive influence in many young people’s lives. He looked back fondly on the years he spent coaching girls softball and basketball. We are all going to miss his wonderful sense of humor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Claudette; son, Randy Morse of Lubbock; brother, Wayne Morse of Whitesboro; sister, Retha Mayo of Paducah; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Kenny Temple and Jace and Keely Morse.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Pam Stephens; and six brothers.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Raintree Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Pacesetters Fund at Raintree Christian Church.
