Born to O.R. and Ola Cloude on July 9, 1935 in Henrietta, Texas, Jack Charles Cloude. Jack shared his birthday with his father, Dr. O.R. Cloude, whose birthday was July 9, 1908. Jack, his parents, and his brothers soon moved to Jack's beloved hometown of Spur. Jack's parents, Dr. O.R. and wife Ola Cloude, and Jack's brothers Gary Dale and Roy Randal preceded Jack in death
Jack Cloude, 86, of Lubbock passed away on 01/22/2022. Jack was known for his wonderful sense of humor and likely picked a date that would be easy to remember but hard to write!
After attending Spur High School, Jack studied at Texas Tech University and remained a lifelong fan of Tech and Dallas Cowboys football. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army as well.
Jack and his beautiful wife Linda lived in Plainview, Texas, and Jack served as the Director of the High Plains Research Foundation for 29 years. They later moved to Lubbock, Texas, where Jack served as Owner and Chief repairman at Minter's in Lubbock for 10 years..
Jack loved his family with all his heart. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Cloude; daughter Susan and husband Fred Zellars of Odessa, Texas; daughter Cindy and daughter-in-law Tracy of Lubbock; beloved granddaughter Shaina and great grandchildren, Rylie and Ty Sanders, also of Odessa; granddaughter Nicole and great granddaughter Sadie of Borger; brother Orville Cloude Jr. of Lubbock; brother Ronnie Cloude and wife Jeanette of Maud, Texas; and sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Ronald Prothro of Wolfforth; Several wonderful nieces and nephews also survived Jack.
