Jack Carlton Emery, 69, of Lubbock passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was born December 9, 1952, in Lubbock to Walter Wylie Emery and Betty Sue Dawson. Jack served in the United States Air Force. He married Elaine Hargis on June 8, 1974.
Jack was a kind, generous, and soft-hearted man. He absolutely loved his family and found such joy when being with his grandchildren, Kyler and Gracie Emery of Midland and Ridley and Rally Wright of Seminole. All who knew him knew he was like a kid himselfв?¦he loved to laugh at funny movies, eat Lanies' carrot cake, and "hot rod" his classic cars. He was blessed with the gift of welding and was "the best around"! He used his phenomenal work ethic and love for cars to build lasting relationships with those he met through his work and car hobby. Jack loved people, loved to serve his family, and loved the Lord.
Jack is survived by his wife, Elaine Emery; children, Jason Emery and wife Julie of Midland and Brandi Wright and husband Jacob of Seminole; brother, Jim Emery of Mount Vernon; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Emery and Betty Wimberly and one sibling, Joe Emery.
