Jack Murphy

Jack Murphy of Lubbock passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the age of 60.  He was born April 20, 1953 in Lubbock to Jack A. and Dorothy (Cook) Murphy, Sr. Jack married Linda Follis on July 12, 1979 in Lubbock.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Jack worked for Kimrad Trucking in Lubbock and in Amarillo and was also a dispatcher for Andrews Transport for many years.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda; two daughters, Jacki Clark and husband Rick of Houston, Lerae Burton and husband Max of Azle; one son, David Vaughn and friend Lynn Greenmyer of Glendale, Arizona; mother, Dorothy Murphy; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack and a daughter, Donna Vaughn.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends from 6:00–8:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p. m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Green Memorial Cemetery in Wilson.
