Jackie Wilson

Jackie John Wilson, 86 of Lubbock passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born April 6, 1935 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to John and Ella (Dodson) Wilson. After attending high school in Perryton, Oklahoma, Jack married the love of his life Loretta Mildred (Whitley) Wilson in Lovington, New Mexico. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. Jack worked as a drilling superintendent for many years before retiring. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sunrise Beach, Texas. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Loretta, his daughters, Judy Van Gilder and husband Larry, Jackie McEndree and husband Steve; Grandchildren, Stefanie Fincher, Brandon Nesteby, Stacey Carpenter and Chad Nesteby; Great Grandchildren, Gregory Nesteby, Dylan Carpenter, Avery Fincher, Samuel Carpenter, and Brody Johnson Nesteby.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Jimmy Taylor.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
