James Carl Heinrich

James Carl Heinrich of Idalou departed this life on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the age of 85.  He was born on October 5, 1929 in Wilson, Texas to Herbert and Marie (Angerer) Heinrich.   He graduated from Idalou High School in 1947.  He married Bobbie Jean Lawson on February 14, 1950 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.  He served on the Liberty Coop Board from 1983 - 1998 and the Idalou School board in late 1960 - 70’s. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Philip Catholic Church. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie; daughter, Kathleen Portz and husband Jim of Junction and daughter-in-law Martha Heinrich McQuhae and husband Charlie of Idalou; brothers, Marvin Heinrich and wife Betty of New Braunfels and Gerald Heinrich and wife Sandy of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Robert and Heinrich and wife Darla of Tahoka, Melinda Gleinser and husband John of Junction, Julie Pratt and husband Steven of Wolfforth, Mark Hall and wife Anna of Idalou and Ryan Heinrich and wife Katie of Slaton; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mike Heinrich. Memorials may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church 8002 U.S. 62 Idalou, TX 79329 or to the Idalou Cemetery Association. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Rosary will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Philip Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Idalou Cemetery.
