Janece Faulkner

Janece Wilkerson Faulkner, 69, of Slaton, passed away on Friday morning, January 14, 2022. She was born in Muleshoe, Bailey County, Texas on November 12, 1952, to the late Charles and Annie May (Prater) Martin.

She met Steve Faulkner, and they were married on March 2, 2013, in Idalou.

Janece worked previously as a nurse's aide, before becoming a full-time housewife to take care of her children. She earned a certificate as an electronics technician in 1990 and briefly worked at Texas Instruments. She loved to crochet, read, helping others, but her life centered around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Steve; one son, Jacob Faulkner of Amarillo; three daughters, Ella Craddock of Amarillo, Michelle Wilkerson of Lubbock and Liberty Williams of Amarillo; two sisters, Lois Cantrell of Earth and Laura Parker of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Lonnie Wilkerson; one daughter, Sherri Collins; and four brothers, Lee Martin, Michael Martin, Bobby Martin and Roger Martin.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM, on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway. Reverend L. J. Wright of New Home Baptist Church will be the officiant. Memorial services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
