Janyce Carole Branson, 69, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on August 28, 2024. She was born on October 1, 1954, in Hobbs, NM, to John Caroll Brockman and Ramona J. Peacock. After attending Post High School, Janyce continued her education where she attained a medical coding and billing certification.
Janyce worked until retirement at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center as Associate Administrator and Lead Coder. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved the lake with a beer in hand: fishing, swimming and soaking up the sunshine. She loved hosting a big crowd for meals such as Thanksgiving & Easter which Janyce was known for making to-go plates for all the neighbors. She never wanted anyone to go without. One of her favorite sayings was, "Get you some more. There's plenty!"
Janyce loved the Lord, and we are confident she is dancing with Jesus now. Although we miss her, she is having the best time of her life.
Janyce is survived by her three oldest sons: Glen Branson II of Lubbock, TX, Shane Branson of Walters, OK, John Branson and wife Marka of Pottsboro, TX, 7 grandchildren: Kiera, Kieren, Emmah, Charlie, Shaylee, Claire, and Caleb, her sister: Sherry Winters and husband Bill of Cheyenne, WY, her brother: Clayton Brockman and wife Cheryl of San Antonio, TX, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ramona Brockman; her youngest son, Joshua Branson, her sister Diane Brockman, her niece Jamie Winters, and her nephew Jeremy King.
A huge lover of animals, a donation in lieu of flowers may be made to South Plains SPCA.
A memorial service will be held at Combest Funeral Home on Saturday, October 05, 2024, at 11am. Combest Funeral Home 2210 Broadway St. Lubbock, TX 79401
