Jim Hardage, 80, of Lubbock, passed away on October 16, 2022. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico on January 17, 1942, to Walter Hardage and Daisy Fern Spurlin. On July 25th of 1970, he married Danelle Davis in Farwell, Texas. They recently celebrated 52 years of marriage together.
Jim served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He worked as a technician for AT&T for 36 years. Jim was a free spirit who celebrated the unique. That free spirit manifested itself in the form of painting, a love of music and a passion to buy the latest threads to show off his wife. His love of adventure and motorcycles lives on in the family he left behind. He also loved dogs and the outdoors, specifically Sedona, AZ.
Jim loved to love his family. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Spoiling them (and their dogs) was a passion in his later years.
He is survived by his wife, Danelle Hardage; two sons, Dax Hardage and wife Britni of Lantana, and Davin Hardage and wife Rebecca of Lubbock; and one brother, Gerald Hardage; four grandchildren, Ashely Hardage, Jaron Hardage, Rilan Hardage and Zoey Hardage; and five great-grandchildren, Kyler Hardage, Chloe Hardage, Alton Hardage, Ellie Anna Clark and Sagan Clark. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Peggy Hardage.
