Jim Trimm passed away on April 16, 2022 after a short illness. Jim was a proud marine. "Once a marine, always a marine", was his motto. He served in the Vietnam War and afterwards he was stationed in Hawaii. He loved scuba diving, boating, and riding his motorcycle during his off time there.
While in Hawaii he served as a gunnery sergeant. He enjoyed his time being there. After being honorably discharged he pursued many careers as a policeman and firefighter. Later he worked in the oil industry as an engineer where at one point he was the person in charge of all operations for drilling in Southeast Asia. He later would become Chief of Police for a branch of the University of Texas System until he retired. Above all he was known by everybody as a very ethical and by the book type of guy. He loved to do research on whatever he might need or be questioned on. Jim was also the "Tech Gadget King"!
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sherrye; daughters, Tammy and Jessica; sons, Clay and Chance; and his grandchildren Lewis and Cierra. He will also be missed by many extended family members and close friends.
