Jimmy "Rick" Richard Bailey, Sr.

Jimmy “Rick” Bailey, Sr. passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born March 4, 1948 in Lubbock to Odis Bailey and Betty Littlefield. Rick was a police officer for 20 years serving the community of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Laura Bailey; two daughters, Christy Jaime and husband Steven of Clovis, NM and Buffie Shaw and husband David of Carlsbad, NM; one son, Jimmy Bailey, Jr. and wife Leslie also of Carlsbad, NM; one sister, Jackie Durrett and husband Bruce of Lubbock, seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Brooks Bailey.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Day Spring Fellowship 413 South Olive in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers please donate to a children’s cancer center of your choice.
