Joan (JoJo) P. McCoy (88) of Littlefield passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. She was born July 30, 1935, to R. B. and Mattie Lou (Johnson) Priddy in Olton, TX. Joan graduated from Amherst High School in 1953 and worked as a teller for First National Bank in Amherst for many years.
JoJo enjoyed watching football, especially Texas Tech and the Kansas City Chiefs, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was very active in the Amherst and Littlefield communities and was a big supporter of the Amherst Bulldogs and Littlefield Wildcats. Joan will be remembered as a warm, welcoming person, who never met a stranger. She loved her family dearly and always made sure everyone knew how much she loved them.
JoJo was preceded in death by her parents, R.B. and Mattie Lou (Johnson) Priddy, her husbands, Winfred Crosby, Joe Chambers, Ray McCoy; and a daughter Cindy Duffy (June 2022). Those left to cherish her many memories are, her grandchildren, J. Paul Duffy of Dallas and Holly Hoelscher and husband Joe of New Home; great-grandchildren, Paul, Lucy, and James Hoelscher; and a son-in-law, Neil Duffy, III of Lubbock.
The family of Joan P. McCoy will honor and celebrate her life with a funeral service at 10:00AM, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel 2210 Broadway, Lubbock.
JoJo’s family would like to extend and very special “thank you” to the Rogers family, the caretakers at Raider Ranch, and Bridge Hospice for the loving care shown to JoJo McCoy.
