JoAnne Linville Lowerison

JoAnne Linville Lowerison has peacefully gone to be with our Lord on Saturday November 11, 2023, in Lubbock Texas at the age of 83. She was born May 2, 1940, to Robert Ellis and Katherine Florence (Lull) Linville, in Willows, CA. JoAnne married Raymond John Lowerison, December 17, 1970.

Ray and JoAnne were foster parents in California for over 25 years. During that time, they housed 392 foster children. JoAnne wasn't just a "foster parent", she loved every single child and baby that she took in, and treated each of them as if they were her own. She was a legend in her own right. To this day, there is a handwritten log of each child that she fostered; their names, dates of birth, the date they entered her home, the date they left, and where they went when they left. And then, there was the one who climbed up into their hearts and lives and never left! Karina is their pride and joy, and the only child they ever adopted.

There are two things that you think about when you are remembering JoAnne, one is of course babies! The second is her amazing and abiding love for the Lord. If you have ever had a conversation with JoAnne it is practically guaranteed that she asked you if you believed in Jesus. Her love for the Lord is as unwavering as her love of babies.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her son Glenn Preston Rasco, her parents, Robert Ellis Linville and Katherine Florence Lull, a brother Robert Linville, and a sister MariLyn Brooks. She is survived by her husband, Raymond John Lowerison, her children Cindy Silfee of Pueblo Colorado, Kerrie Hemphill of Reno Nevada, Aaron Rasco of Pueblo Colorado, Tracy Burdett and her husband Justin Burdett of Lubbock Texas, and Karina Lowerison of Lubbock Texas, 12 grandchildren, and 1 1 great grandchildren, and her brother Charles "Butch" Linville of Fort Bragg California.

A memorial service, to honor her life and cherish her memories, is scheduled for 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Wolfforth Church of Christ, 715 5^th Street Wolfforth, TX 79382.
