Jody L. Stowe, 63, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday morning, April 18, 2022. Jody was born on September 22, 1958, in Grants, Cibola County, New Mexico to Jody W. and Colleen (Brooks) Stowe.
Jody graduated from Clovis High School in 1976. He later attended Eastern New Mexico University, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Jody worked in the food industry as a salesman, working his way up to being a Food Broker. He worked for U. S. Foods for 26 years, before retiring in 2018. Jody was a musician in his own right, loving the guitar like the men in his family does, often playing with family at events and gatherings. He loved to do research and was a movie buff of old classical movies. Jody's family described him as a walking music encyclopedia. Jody attended the 82nd and Avenue V Church of Christ in Lubbock.
Jody leaves behind his cherished family, which includes his parents, Jody W. and Colleen Stowe of Lubbock; one brother, Kurt (Martha) Stowe of Franklin, Tennessee; two sisters, Rhonda Murdock (Brad) of Ransom Canyon, Texas and Sherri (Jody) Chambers of Ozark, Missouri.
A time of visitation and reflection for Jody will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Friday, April 29, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Final rites and interment will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
Pallbearers will be Kurt Stowe, Brad Murdock, Jody Chambers, James Vice, Mark Fickling and Mark Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Martin and Mike Allen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations, in Jody's memory, be sent to the Cactus Theater, 1812 Buddy Holly Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79401.
