Joe Flores

Joe Flores (84) passed away Friday, November 18, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. He was born Friday, December 24, 1937, to Jose and Louisa (Cantu) Flores, in Marlin, TX. Joe married Antonia (Munoz) Flores on December 28, 1953. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Joe and his wife, Antonia, were pastors at Full Gospel New Life Church in Lubbock. Joe was saved at a young age and was a faithful son of God since that day. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard with copper, and reading the Bible.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Antonia, his parents, Jose and Louisa, and three sons-in-law, Rodolfo Samarripas, Jesse Valdez, and Mike Montez. Those left to cherish his memory are, his children, Joe Flores lll (Carolina), Louisa Castillo, Esperanza Valdez, Ernesto Flores (Maria), Irma Montez, Gloria Mendez (Steve), Carol Flores, Robert Flores (Hilda), Marion Rodriguez (Alfrado), Jackie Samarripas (Vidal), Lisa Flores, Alma Cantu (Ricky) John Flores (Martha), Sam Flores; one sister, Mary Arredondo, 39 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the Venue on Broadway, 2210 Bradway, Monday November 21, 2022, from noon until 7:30PM, with a service being held at 5:30pm. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the Venue on Broadway, Combest Funeral Home, with interment following at Peaceful; Gardens Memorial Park, Cemetery.
