Joe Alan Nichols

Joe Alan Nichols of Lubbock departed this life on Monday, January 15th, 2024, at the age of 70 at home.  He was born in Bakersfield, CA to Joan Steward.  Joe worked as a machinist for over 40 years and was passionate about what he did. 

 In his free time, he loved to ride his motorcycle, be around family and friends, and many other activities.  He was an amazing husband, best friend, and rock to his wife of almost 48 years, Terri Nichols.  Joe loved her from the moment they met, marrying just 2 months later.  His daughters, son-in-laws, and grandsons were his pride and joy.  Family was everything to him.

His life and memory will be cherished by his wife Terri Nichols, daughter and son-in-law Candy and Tony Smitherman, daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Eric Roberts, grandsons Keenan and Ethan Smitherman, brothers James Nichols and Neal Randall, brother-in-law Alex Gumula, sister-in-law and husband Debbie and Barry Solomon, sister-in-law Diane Cronberg, and multiple nieces and nephews.
