John Owens

John Henry Owens, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on June 18, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1951, in Plainview, Texas. John leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In his journey through life, John was a devoted spouse to his wife Debbie Owens. Together they shared a life filled with companionship and unwavering support for each other. John's parents, Floyd Chester and Johnnie Lee Owens nurtured him with love and guidance throughout his life.

Those who went before him, include his spouse, Debbie Owens; his parents, Floyd Chester Owens, Sr. and Johnnie Lee Owens; his siblings, Robert Owens, Bobby Acy, Johnnie Shivers, Louis Owens, Floyd Owens, Jr., and Randy Owens.

John's memory will forever be kept alive by his surviving children, Jason Owens, Jeremy Owens, Xavier Shivers, and Nakota Owens; his siblings, L.C. (Pauline) Owens, Clara Willis, Grace (Ernest) Dickson, Millie Whitaker, Raymond (Gloria) Owens, Linda (Wayne) Henderson, Sharon Owens, and Charles (Sandra) Owens. They will continue to honor him with their shared memories and all the moments they spent together.

A man of integrity and compassion, John touched the lives of many with his caring nature and warm smile. His presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in peace knowing that he was loved deeply and will be remembered fondly by all those whose lives he touched.
