John William Weathers, Jr., 74, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas on July 14, 1947, to the late John William Weathers, Sr. and Leticia Isophene Weathers.
He married Judy Lee Baker on December 15, 2004, in Lubbock, Texas.
Following high school, he attended Texas Tech University. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked as a stockbroker and was involved in insurance, before retiring. He loved to the play the piano and guitar, golf and fish, and was very talented in many aspects of his life. He grew up in the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; three sons, Jonas Weathers of Arkansas, Jared Weathers of Katy, Texas and Justin Weathers of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Terry Weathers of Marble Falls; one sister, Pat Heggdal of Lubbock, and two grandchildren.
