Johnnie Howard Banks

Johnnie Banks of Lubbock passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of 78.  He was born November 5, 1935 in Burnet County, Texas to William and Myrtle (Kirkpatrick) Banks. Johnnie was married to Wanda Tisdale Williams on May 16, 2005. He was a member of the Boy Scouts for several years.    

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda; one brother, Delbert Banks; and one sister, Dorothy Mae Gotcher both of Burnet County; five step-children; 17 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Herschel Banks and William Banks, Jr.; and three step-children.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Watson Cemetery in Lampasas.
