Johnny Lynn Warren

Johnny Lynn Warren of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the age of 77.  He was born December 12, 1936 in Floydada to Elmer and Ethel (Frizzell) Warren.   Johnny attended Wayland Baptist College and Texas Tech College and worked for the IRS before retiring.  He married Nancy Joyce DeRusha on July 12, 1959 and they were members of Parkway Drive Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy; children, Johnny Warren of Spur and Melinda Lipham of San Antonio; brother, Bill Warren of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Brent, Kevin, David, and Blake Odell and Joshua and Shandi Warren; and one great-grandson, Luke Dobbs.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elvis Warren.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Lockney Cemetery in Lockney, Texas.
