Juanelle Jones Mcdaniel

Juanelle Jones McDaniel, 90, of Lubbock, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022.  Juanelle was born on March 6, 1932, in Brownfield, Texas to the late O. L. Jones and Iva (Aytes) Jones.

She attended Brownfield High School, graduating in 1950.  She met Marvin McDaniel, the love of her life, and they were married on October 27, 1951, in Brownfield.  Mr. McDaniel preceded her in death on April 6, 2017.

Juanelle worked as a secretary for ARCO Oil Company for many years.  She was a farmer’s wife, loved gardening and canning.  She especially loved raising her kids and grandkids.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Shela Teter and her husband Tracy of Lubbock; two sons, Wes McDaniel of Odessa and Tim McDaniel and his wife Cindy of Justiceburg; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Graveside services for Mrs. McDaniel will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.  Her son, Tim McDaniel, will be the officiant.  Final rites and interment will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes.
