Janie Balderaz

Janie Balderaz, 68, of Littlefield, Texas passed away September 26, 2023. She was born September 17, 1955, in Mercedes, Texas to Juanita and Cipriano Rodriguez.

Janie graduated from Hereford High School in 1975 and later received her associate degree in computer science from South Plains College in 1977. She met Roy Balderaz in 1982 and they were married on July 22^nd, 1983. Janie worked in social work for the Texas Workforce Commission and prior to retirement, worked for the Texas Railroad Commission. In her spare time, Janie loved serving God through her local church families-- Alliance Church and Oasis Baptist Church. She loved mission work and praying for others. Janie was a prayer warrior for every person she met. Janie loved her family and friends and spent as much time as she could with her two grandchildren Benjamin and Esther.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Roy Balderaz; her son, Randall Balderaz and wife Carolyn of Lubbock. Two grandchildren Benjamin and Esther Balderaz. Three Stepdaughters, Rosemary Cruz and husband Mario of San Angelo TX, Rachel Gallegos and Husband Edgar of Canyon TX, and Roxanne Balderaz of Hereford TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cipriano and Juanita Rodriguez. Sister Mary Garza, Sister Rose Tijerina, brother-in-law Julian Suarez, and niece Monica Berumen. 

A visitation will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the Venue on Broadway with Combest Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Alliance Church. Burial will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Johnsons Lawnhaven Memorial Park in San Angelo, Texas.
