Juanita C Escobedo

Juanita G. Escobedo of Lubbock passed away Thursday May 2, 2013.  She was born March 28, 1935 in Melvin, TX to Demetrio and Maria (Rodriguez) Gonzales.  Juanita married Luis Escobedo on December 11, 1953 in San Angelo, TX.  She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith. Juanita was cherished and loved by her children, and was an amazing homemaker and mom.  She devoted and enjoyed all of her time with her children and will be truly missed by all.

Those left to cherish her memory are six daughters, Sarah Martinez, Gloria Huerta, Sally Escobedo and Rosie, and Ida Bosque, all of Lubbock, Irene Hernandez and John of San Angelo, and Dora and Tim Roberge of Fayetteville, NC; five sons, Luis Escobedo of San Angelo, Lorenzo and Sally Escobedo of Tahoka, Alfred and Delma Escobedo of Lamesa,  Gabino Escobedo and Hilario and Becky Escobedo, both of Lubbock; two brothers, Joe Gonzales of Lubbock and Demetrio Gonzales, Jr. of Lamesa; one sister, Felipa Gonzales of O’Donnell; 27 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Luis; sister, Senona Pecina; brother, Lucas Gonzales; and one grandson, Billy D. Escobedo.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with Reverend Alfred Escobedo officiating. Interment will follow at O’Donnell Cemetery.
