Kathryne Elizabeth Reynolds of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the age of 72. She was born October 12, 1941 in McCammon, Idaho. Kathryne graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1959 and worked as a bank teller for many years before entering the field of law enforcement in 1983. Kathryne took great pride in her work and loved the whole aspect of law enforcement. She received an Outstanding Service Award in Fire Evacuation and served as secretary for the Grand Jury Division in Houston. She fought for civil rights and was an advocate for the “little guy”. Kathryne was a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She had a very big heart and opened her home to everyone in need.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Paul Deloy Reynolds, Bridgett Banks Perez and Betsy Reynolds Shipley and husband, James, all of Lubbock; siblings, Thomas Wayne Facer, Raymond F. Facer, and Betty Facer Gleim; and five grandchildren, Derrick Perez and wife Amanda, Danielle Perez, Dustin Perez, Sarah Reynolds, and Madalyn Reynolds. Daughter by fate, Tasha Neider Gould.
Kathryne was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Blanche (Martin) Facer and three siblings, James T. Facer and wife Vel, Darrel Facer, and Margaret Facer Archibald and husband Steve.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice, their staff, and especially Tammie for the love and care they provided.
