Kenneth Dale West

Kenneth Dale West, 81, of Lubbock, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2023 in Abilene, TX.

Kenneth was born on January 31, 1942 to Ora Mae (Davis) and Monroe West in Paris, TX.  He spent his childhood at the Tipton Home for Children, in Tipton, Oklahoma, after his mother's passing.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1963.  On July 17,1967, Kenneth married the love of his life Valarie Ann Crutsinger. Kenneth and Valarie shared three wonderful children David, DeEtte and Kevin.

Kenneth was a truck driver for over 40 years. In those years,  he mainly drove for Furrs Food and Stiles Trucking. After he retired, he still enjoyed working for local car dealerships transporting cars.

Kenneth was proceeded in death by his parents, siblings, wife (Valarie),  sons David West and Kevin West, and daughter DeEtte Williams.

He is survived by 5 grandchildren, including Kayla Williams (Abilene), Kerri Mccollough (Abilene), Kendell Williams (Cleburne), Kinsey Edwards (Lubbock),  6 great grandchildren, and many close family and friends who loved him dearly.

A graveside service will be held October 12th, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens memorial park Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special "thank you" to his hospice nurse, Jordan, who loved and took such special care of him throughout his final time on this earth.
