Kimberly Johnson, 60, of Lubbock passed away April 28th, 2022 at UMC Hospital in Lubbock.
Kim was born in Dallas, TX on March 22, 1962. She moved to Lubbock and graduated from Monterey High School. She also attended Texas Tech where she played the French horn and proudly marched for the Goin Band.
She married DeAnte Johnson on November 2, 2018.
Kim loved her family. Her daughter, Gabriela, and grandkids were her whole world.
Her favorite things to do were to spend time with friends and family. She loved shopping, enjoyed a good meal with good company, laughing, playing games, and watching movies. She was a kind, generous person and was always willing to help anyone she could.
Kim is preceded in death by both parents, Cindy and Doyle Elder and her grandparents, Dorothy and Walter.
She is survived by her husband, DeAnte; her daughter, Gabriela and husband James; three grandchildren, Adalynn, Makynli, and Waylon; brothers, Walt (Selina), and Scott (Gene); and sisters Kelley and Lisa. She also left behind nieces, Victoria, Sofia, Stephanie, Kim, and Kimberly; stepmother, Peggy Dillard; two chosen sisters, Genea McClellan and Rose McMichael; Godchildren, Michael, Destiny, Isaiah, and Regan; and many other friends and loved ones.
Services are to be decided. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
