Larry Banos

Larry Michael "Mike" Banos, 73 of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was born March 29, 1949 in Durham, North Carolina to Nickolas and Nelowee (McAdams) Banos. Mike grew up in San Diego and earned his bachelor's degree at Cal State Northridge and his master's at the University of Southern California. On July 7, 1973 Mike married the love of his life, Donna Haley in San Diego. He worked many years as an instructional designer where he designed training materials for companies. Mike loved his family and being able to spend time with his grandchildren and their dog. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brother and friends and was always the "man behind the camera" as he shared his passion for photography. Mike was technology gifted and built his own computers without any formal training. He and Donna also enjoyed traveling and especially exploring the world on cruises.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Donna; his daughter, Nicole (Daniel) Hwozdek; his brother Stephen (Dollie) Banos and his 3 grandchildren, Aubrey, Natalie and Lincoln Hwozdek.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nickolas and Nelowee Banos.
