Lawrence Floyd Hull passed from this earth into Heaven on February 6, 2014. A memorial service to celebrate his life is planned for Monday, February 10, 2014 at Combest Funeral Home. Lawrence was born in Roaring Springs, Texas to Ira and Minnie (Roller) Hull on August 9, 1937. Lawrence married his wife of 57 years, Elsie "Margie" (Wagoner) in Fort Smith, Arkansas on November 6, 1956. They made their home in Lubbock, Texas. They were blessed with 4 children: 3 daughters Sharon Hull of Lubbock, Laura Wynne (Calvin) of Amarillo, Penny Alexander who preceded him in death and 1 son, Lawrence Carl Hull (Christine). Lawrence retired from the South Plains Fairgrounds in 2002 after 48 years of service, full and part time. Lawrence was a proud member of the Knights of Pythias for more than 30 years; he served as the Grand Chancellor for the Grand Lodge in 1998. He was also a machinist at Johnson Manufacturing and Clark Equipment.Lawrence is also survived by sisters, Sandra Wagoner, Pat Martin (Ronnie) and Rena Boling (Wayne) all of Lubbock; brothers, Harold Hull (Sissy) of Valdesta, Georgia and Mike Hull (Lauren) of Dennison, Texas. Two siblings passed before him, Mae Freudenrich and Curtis Hull. He is survived by grandchildren, Amanda Dauntes of Amarillo, Julee Cunningham (Trent) of Dalhart, Heath Wynne (Tracy) of Ft. Riley, Kansas, Caleb Hull, Tiffany Downs (Timothy), TJ Goley all of Lubbock. He is also survived by great grand children, Matthew Chapman, Harleigh Wynne and Calee Cunningham. Left also to cherish his memory are numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
