Lee Edward Horn

Lubbock

Lee Horn of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the age of 63.  He was born November 3, 1950 in Mercedes, Texas to James R. Horn and Mary Lee Richardson. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. Lee married Judy Howell on August 18, 1978.  Lee owned Lee Horn Cotton Company and was a cotton broker for more than 42 years.  He was of the Episcopalian faith; also he was a member of the Lubbock Cotton Exchange and Lions Club. Lee enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy; mother, Mary Lee of Corpus Christi; one son, Lee Horn, II and wife, Jessica of Dallas; one daughter, Denise Mahurin of Lubbock; one brother, Jamie Horn and wife, Mary Beth; one sister, Gigi Horn all of  Corpus Christi; two grandchildren, Haley and Jaden Simpson.

Lee was preceded in death by his father, Jim Horn; and son-in-law, J.D. Simpson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.
