Lera Jeanne Cromer

Lera Jeanne Cromer of the Canyon community passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the age of 81.  She was born November 11, 1931 in Joplin, Missouri to Joseph and Lelia (Cummings) Dixon.  On October 16, 1987 she married James Robert Cromer in Grove, Oklahoma.  Jeanne was a homemaker and a member of Canyon United Methodist Church. 

Jeanne was a fabulous cook, with a slow cooker always filled with something yummy, and her biscuits were a family tradition.  She was a prize winning crocheter and a creator of beautiful jewelry.  She especially had a soft spot for her dog Fancy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than 26 years, Robert; son, James North and wife Marleen of Chanhassen, Minnesota; and one grandson, Brian North.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2013 at Canyon United Methodist Church.
