Linda Lou Pierce

Linda Lou Pierce, 71, of Lubbock, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, July 28, 2022.  Linda was born on October 24, 1950, in Hollis, Harmon County, Oklahoma, to the late Rueben Garfield Pierce and Lula Viola (Tice) Pierce.

Linda worked as a bank document shredder for the National Bank of Commerce in Pampa for 15 years.  Linda has lived in the Lubbock community since 2011.  She was heavily involved in Special Olympics in Texas, regional and state, where she has won numerous awards and commendations.  She loved bowling, basketball, golf, track and field, and bocce ball.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pampa.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory include one sister, Helen Robinson of Lubbock; one brother, Gary Pierce of Hollis, Oklahoma; a host of nieces and nephews:  Teresa Davis of Lubbock, Tammy Bynum of Hollis, Oklahoma, Kent Robinson of Wentworth, Missouri, Ricky Robinson of Anderson, Missouri, Raymond Burditt of Galveston, Texas, and Rick Davis of Lubbock.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Chaplain Al Wise, with Hospice of the South Plains, will be the officiant.  Memorial services and cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Linda’s memory to Hospice of the South Plains, 4413 82nd Street, Suite 135, Lubbock, TX 79424.
