Lloyd Marshall of Idalou passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the age of 65. He was born on August 29, 1949 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Oades and Vivian (Fountain) Marshall. He worked in construction as a carpenter also served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Idalou community. On January 20, 1984 he married Tamra Pearson. Lloyd served during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tamra; one daughter, Laurren Nicole Sluterbeck and husband Ryan of Idalou; two sons, Mark S. Marshall and wife Miranda of Austin and Nathan Marshall and wife Angel of Lubbock; brother, Paul Marshall and wife Mary of Double Oak; and sisters, Loretta Dawson of Denison, Lavelle Haigood of Oklahoma City and Lynnette Abbott and husband David of Idalou; 7 grandchildren, Kayla, Haley, Kaiden, Laynee, Madisyn, Aidan and Emma. He was also greatly loved by many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ed, Bill and Ray Marshall; and sisters, Bertie Stewart and Joann Pierce.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Idalou. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Idalou with interment to follow at Idalou Cemetery.
