Louisa (Davison) House, 92, of Lubbock, Texas passed away Monday, October 3, 2022. She was born June 21, 1930 to Leland Hiram and Louisa Ellen Davison in Maple City, Kansas. Louisa attended Winfield High School in Kansas, and graduated in1948. In January of 1957 Louisa married Steve Jack House. Together they raised four children. She was of the Methodist faith and attended First United Methodist Church, Lubbock.
Louisa worked as a telephone operator, but then eventually left to be a housewife and mother. In her spare time, she loved to read, crochet, and spend time in her garden with all of her beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed bowling and oil painting. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Ralph Edward Morgan, Susan Louisa Moyer, and Tommy Lynn House. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Louisa Davison; husband, Steve Jack House; and daughter, Stephanie Ellen Lightfoot.
A time for reflection and visitation will be held 5:00–8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022 in the Combest Family Memorial Chapel. A celebration of Louisa’s life will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October 7, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, on Broadway, in Lubbock, Texas.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meals on Wheels, 2304 34th street, Lubbock, TX 79411.
