Loyd Earl “Bunny” Pierce, 99, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Friday morning, November 25, 2022. Bunny was born on September 2, 1923, in Draw, Lynn County, Texas, to the late Joseph Pierce and Maude (Rothlis) Pierce.
He met Reba Kent, and they were married on August 27, 1975, in Corpus Christi. Reba preceded him in death in May of 2003. He was a cotton farmer for many years, retiring in 2009. He loved to dance and was a comedian according to his family, and was very people oriented. He had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Survivors include daughter, Yolanda Brown of Idalou; stepson, Kent Kahl of Tahoka; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in the Nevels Memorial Cemetery in Tahoka, Texas under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes. There will be no viewing or visitation for Mr. Pierce.
