Lula Crawford

April 22, 1944 — January 1, 2022

Lula Belle Crawford, 77, of Lubbock, formerly of Plains, went to her heavenly home on January 1, 2022. Lula Belle was born on April 22, 1944 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Roy and Juanita Crawford.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Plains Cemetery with Patrick Hamilton officiating under the direction of Combest Funeral Home of Lubbock.
Lula Belle made the most important decision of her life as a teenager when she accepted Jesus as her Savior. She is a member of the Plains First Baptist Church.

She graduated from Plains High School in 1965 and remained at home and cared for her parents. She also provided childcare for families in the community.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Lula Belle. She enjoyed eating at the Dairy Queen, movie time at the Yoakum County Library, riding the Spartan bus to doctor appointments, visiting with anyone anywhere, and playing bingo and making crafts at Lakeridge Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lee and Tommy; and one sister, Maggie.

She is survived by nieces, Terrie Isaacks, Tonie Crawford and Tracy Frazier; and nephews, Billy Spears and Johnny Haley; and a host of friends, including Beth Ann Cain, Karen Bearden, Robbie Phipps, and Kendra Stephens, and their families.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Providing LIFE Ministries, Inc, at P.O. Box 1047, Plains, Texas 79355.
