Maria DeLaLuz Hernandez

Maria DeLaLuz Hernandez of Iraan passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the age of 87.  She was born March 14, 1927 in Mexico to Joe and Maria (Arizpe) Garcia.  Maria married Encarnacion B. "Chon" Hernandez in 1954 in Mexico and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Roland Hernandez and wife Terri; siblings, Celia Salazar, Julia Villarreal, Pedro Garcia, and Gilberto Garcia, all of Mexico; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Chon, on June 23, 2014.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes, with rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
