Marina Hernandez Mojic

Marina Mojica of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the age of 64.  She was born August 13, 1949 in Winchester, Indiana to Bernardo Hernandez and Patricia Pretends Eagle. Marina married Benny Mojica on September 7, 1963 in Lubbock and they shared 50 wonderful years. She was a member of the Winnebago Indian tribe of Nebraska. Marina was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband; son, Carlos Hernandez Mojica of Lubbock; three daughters, Patricia Hernandez Mojica, Janelle Hernandez Mojica, Jennifer Hernandez Mojica all of Lubbock; one brother; six sisters; and five grandchildren, James Aaron Tyler, Nathaniel Alexander Mojica, Felicity Mercedes Mojica, Gavin Avry Mojica, and Marina Mojica Casey.

Marina was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with rosary at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
