Marjorie Roberts Whitfield

Marjorie Roberts Whitfield of Lubbock passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the age of 86.  She was born September 26, 1926 in Paris, Texas to Porter and Dixie (Maddox) Norrell. Marjorie worked as a hairdresser and was of the Baptist Faith and a strong Christian.  She married William Lee Roberts who preceded her in death and later married Howard Whitfield who also preceded her in death.

 Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Rodney Roberts & spouse Mary of Odessa, and Mike Whitfield & spouse Julie of Colorado, one daughter, Patty Lewis of Ouray, Colorado; and a daughter in law Susan Roberts of Lubbock, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Dixie Norrell, and a son, Robin Roberts 

Celebration of Life services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in the Combest Family Funeral Homes Chapel with Dr. Ken Horn officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. There will be a Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Combest Family Funeral  Home Chapel.
