Mark Collier, 66, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday evening, October 28, 2024. Mark was born on June 8, 1958, in Duncan, Stephens County, Oklahoma, to the late Herman Collier and Audry (Hurley) Collier.
Mark attended Duncan High School, graduating with the senior class of 1976. He then attended and furthered his studies at the University of Oklahoma for two years.
Mark faithfully worked for and served the citizens of Stephens County in Oklahoma as a Deputy Sheriff for many years, before retiring in 2021. He was a huge fan of the rock bank KISS. His favorite little companion was Princess Bella, his Yorkie. Mark had another favorite companion, Dena, whom he adored.
Those left to honor and cherish his loving memory include his partner, Dena of Lubbock; one daughter, Amanda Collier of Duncan, Oklahoma; two stepdaughters: Melissa Parrish and husband Red of Lubbock and Allison Griffith and her fiance Ethan Willis, also of Lubbock; one brother, Mike Collier and his wife Cathy of Zwolle, Louisiana; one sister, Kaye Collier of Duncan, Oklahoma, and two grandsons, Cooper and Alexander. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory. Mark’s family will be planning a memorial service later and his cremains will be interred between his parents who are buried in Oklahoma. There are no local services planned for Mark.
