Mark Lewis Nanny received his full and complete healing Tuesday morning, June 27th, 2023 as he stepped into eternity. Mark is survived by his wife Annette, two daughters Ann-Marie and Alexandra, son-in-laws Jon and Dusty, grandkids Hazel and Jett, father Morris, two sisters Nancy and Shari, and so many more amazing family and friends. Mark was a life-long, devoted follower of Jesus; a true giant of the faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
Mark was born on January 6th, 1961 in Hobbs, NM, and graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock, Tx in 1979. He married the love of his life, Annette Weil in 1983 and they celebrated 40 years of beautiful life together just a few days before his passing. Mark went on to receive his Bachelor’s of Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate from Texas Tech University in 1984 and remained an avid Red Raider for life.
While working in landscaping in college, Mark was approached by Rick Canup and offered a job as a Real Estate Agent at Coldwell Banker, where he served his clients and the Lubbock community with character and integrity for more than 38 years. Rick quickly became more than a boss and has been a close friend and mentor for nearly four decades.
Mark fought a long battle with cancer and various illnesses during the last few years of his life, but he never lost hope. His faith in the Lord was unshakeable and an inspiration to anyone and everyone he came in contact with. He will forever be missed, but the family and friends close to Mark are full of peace and joy as he finally received his full reward in Christ, and heard the cherished words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Mark has benefitted greatly from blood donations over the past few years during his fight with cancer. Please consider donating to your local blood bank in his honor.
