Martha C Deleon

Martha Carrizales DeLeon of Lubbock passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the age of 92.  She was born July 29, 1921 in Kent, Ohio to Seferino and Juanita (Narvaiz) Carrizales.  Martha worked as a homemaker and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  She married John DeLeon in April of 1945.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John; two sons, Miguel (Janie) DeLeon and Albert DeLeon; four daughters, Mary (Henry) Castellano, Rosa Flores, Sally (Agustine) Rincon, and Jane Martinez (and late husband Frank); two brothers, Domingo and Alfredo Carrizales; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; two sons; one grandson; and six siblings.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with rosary at 6:00 p.m.  Mass is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
