Our beloved Martin Omar "J.R." Villarreal, known to many as a father, friend, and all-around handyman, passed away on his 55th birthday, April 21, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, kindness, and a love for music and the outdoors. J.R. was a man who cherished spending nights fishing, camping, and enjoying BBQ under the stars. His passion for fixing things, cooking outdoors, and watching cooking shows shone through in all he did. He adored the simple pleasures in life, like sharing the fruits of his gardening endeavors with loved ones, and cheering on his favorite sports teams - the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa, and Texas Tech. J.R.'s love for music, from classics like Little Joe to toe-tappers like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by Charlie Daniels, was always apparent in his life.
J.R. was a man who always made time to help others, offering his skills and knowledge freely. Whether it was DJing parties, singing karaoke, or teaching his children valuable life lessons, he did it all with a smile and endless patience. He exuded warmth and love wherever he went, making an impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
