Marcie Cochran

Marvalane “Marcie” Reasoner Cochran, 75, passed away at her residence on Monday, November 25, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel in Lubbock.  

Marcie was born in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas and was the third daughter of Bates and Dortha Reasoner. Her childhood was spent on the Reasoner Farm and she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1967. In 1981, she married David Cochran, living most of their time together on the coast which she loved. After moving back to Lubbock, they spent much of their time helping with Marcie’s mother, Dortha and spending time with their grandchildren.  

Marcie was preceded in death by her parents, Bates and Dortha Reasoner; sister, Julia “Judy” Reasoner Wallace and husband, David on May 9, 2022.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Terica Reasoner Starkes of Lubbock, Texas; niece, Heather Lane Cornelius, named after Marvalane, of Crosbyton, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as David’s family. Last, but definitely not least, Marcie’s dog, Dasher.
